Desktop Workplace provides quick simple integration with all mail clients such as Outlook/Lotus Notes, Novell Groupware, etc. It allows users to work using their favorite E-mail client rather then using the SAP Business Workplace.

Implementing Desktop Workplace is simple. Just install the software on the client machine and you’re off. The whole process typically takes 5 to 10 minutes as the in-built configuration wizard takes the user through the simple setup process. Of course, the software can be rolled our using standard system management tools.

Mail Synchronization (Microsoft Outlook Only)
When a work item is completed, Desktop Workplace removes the corresponding mail item from the users e-mail. This ensures that the user only has the latest ‘view’ of their work.
Single Sign-On Support
Desktop Workplace fully supports SAP’s single sign-on technology using Secure Network Communications (SNC).
Multiple Systems Support
Desktop Workplace can monitor several SAP systems, providing notification e-mails for work and mail items from all systems. Each source systems is clearly identified in the notification e-mail.
